A few years ago I began an intense appreciation for the great outdoors. Being somewhat of an extremist, I ventured and began researching methods of wilderness survival. After reading a couple of notible survival manuals, I began my outdoor training. Since June of 2006, I have snow camped in sub-zero conditions, hiked the Colorado Rockies, and survived in the unsettled Caribou Wilderness of Northern California, most of which equipped only with a knife and canteen.
